Website Privacy and Security Policy

Handycontract LLC (“Handycontract”) gives the following privacy policy notice (“Privacy Code”) to its users, including visitors and customers accessing the website (the “Site”):

(a) Navigation. Handycontract will not acquire your personal data when you simply navigate the Site.

(b) Cookies. Handycontract uses “cookies” only for the management of the Site, the online ordering process and the trend analysis of general traffic. Handycontract does not identify your system or collect information from your hard disk.  You are not identified by name or e-mail address but just by a numerical series automatically assigned by Handycontract processor at the time of your first access to the Site.

(c) Registration for Purchases of Products. When you enter Handycontract Shop for the purpose of purchasing any Product, or you submit any orders for the purchase of Products, you will be requested to complete your registration form with additional personal data (including VAT registration number and any other evidence that you represent a business rather than a private consumer).

(d) Management of Personal Data. Your personal data will be managed in full compliance with the Privacy Code.

(e) Use of Personal Data. Your personal data will be used for the following purposes:

1) Processing of your order(s) for Products and all actions related to the performance of the sale transaction(s) entered into with you;
2) Supply of all necessary technical and commercial assistance related to the Products;

(f) Consent. Your consent to the treatment of your personal data is not necessary for the purposes connected with the performance of the obligations assumed in letter (e), points 1) and 2) above. If you refuse to supply your personal information, Handycontract will not be in the position to process your order(s).

(h) Personal Data collected. The types of Personal Data that Handycontract collects directly from you or from third parties depend on the circumstances of collection and on the nature of the service requested or transaction undertaken. It may include (but is not limited to):
1) Personal contact details such as name, title, addresses, telephone numbers, personal and work email addresses, Skype or other web ID;
2) Technical information, e.g., IP address; and
3) Statistical data, e.g., number of passengers, and hits to website.

(i) Your Rights with regards to data privacy. One the main objectives of this Privacy Code is to protect and clarify the rights of individuals with regards to data privacy. This means that you have various rights in respect of your data. These are summarised below.

It is important that the personal information Handycontract holds about you is accurate and current. Please keep Handycontract informed if your personal information changes during the period for which Handycontract holds your data.
Under certain circumstances and subject to certain conditions, by law you have the right to:
1) Right to object (including where Handycontract is relying on legitimate interests or in relation to direct marketing): this right enables you to object to Handycontract processing your personal data including where Handycontract does so for (i) our legitimate interests, or (ii) for direct marketing purposes.
2) Right to withdraw consent: Where Handycontract has obtained your consent to process your personal data for certain activities (for example, for our marketing arrangements), you may withdraw this consent at any time and Handycontract will cease to carry out the particular activity that you previously consented to unless there is an alternative lawful reason to permit our continued processing of your data for this purpose in which case Handycontract will inform you of this reason
3) Data Subject Access Request: You may require Handycontract to confirm what information about you Handycontract is processing and has access to such information.
4) Right to rectification: You also have the right to require that Handycontract rectify any inaccurate personal data that Handycontract hold about you.
5) Right to erasure: You have the right to require that Handycontract erase your personal data in certain circumstances.
6) Right to restrict processing: You have the right to require that Handycontract restrict our processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
7) Right of data portability: If you wish, you have the right in certain circumstances to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transmit the data to another controller without hindrance from Handycontract.​
8) Removal of your data from our website If you've registered on our website, you can de-activate your account and remove all of your data at anytime by using the contact details at section (j) below.

(k) How long does Handycontract keep your personal data for? Handycontract will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes Handycontract collected it for, including for the purposes of contacting you with suitable business or employment opportunities and satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
If you are a candidate or client, your personal information will be retained for 5 years from the last significant contact Handycontract has had with you. "Significant contact" means, for example, communication between Handycontract and you (either verbal or written).
In any case, Handycontract may keep your personal information for longer if Handycontract believes in good faith that the law or other regulation requires Handycontract to preserve it (for example, to comply with our obligations to the tax authorities or in connection with any anticipated litigation).
In some circumstances, Handycontract may anonymise your personal information so that it can no longer be associated with you, in which case Handycontract may use such information without further notice to you.

(l) Transferring your information outside of Europe. As part of the services offered to you through this website, the information which you give to Handycontract may be transferred to countries outside the European Union (“EU”). For example, some of our third-party providers may be located outside of the EU. The right security measures are taken so that your privacy rights continue to be protected as outlined in this policy. By submitting your personal data, you’re agreeing to this transfer, storing or processing. Where our third-party supplies are in the US, Handycontract has ensured that their services fall under the Privacy Shield whereby participating companies are deemed to have adequate protection and therefore facilitate the transfer of information from the EU to Handycontract. If you use our services while you are outside the EU, your information may be transferred outside the EU to give you those services.
